« Ce sont plus de 130 chercheurs et thésards (biologistes, vétérinaires, médecins, écologues, sociologues, économistes, etc.) originaires de 30 pays et représentant plus de 40 institutions, qui se sont réunis du 15 au 19 décembre 2008 au Cirad de Montpellier autour de deux projets de recherche sur la grippe aviaire en milieu tropical : Gripavi et Ardigrip. Mettre en réseau les acquis de la recherche : Favoriser les synergies scientifiques entre les différents projets de recherche français, décloisonner et mettre en réseau les disciplines et les institutions, produire des recommandations pour les futurs programmes de recherche en partenariat sur maladies émergentes au sud (…) »
